Born and raised in Sacramento, California, Cory received his dance training from the Sacramento Ballet under Sunny Staton Mitchell and Melanie Haller, as well as from the Northern California Dance Conservatory with Jen Bradford and Theodore Constant. He has performed internationally, including appearances at the Jacob’s Pillow Summer Festival and Fire Island Dance Festival, and has toured throughout Austria, Italy, and Germany with the Young! Tanzsommer performance group.

Cory began his professional career with Alaska Dance Theatre in Anchorage before joining Eugene Ballet, where he danced from 2013 to 2020. During his time with Eugene Ballet, he was featured in several notable productions, including Amy Seiwert’s White Noise, Val Caniparoli’s Tutto Ecetto Il Lavandino, and Stephanie Martinez’s Wandering On. Cory also performed leading roles, such as Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Nick Carraway in The Great Gatsby, both choreographed by Toni Pimble.
 

Now based in New York City, Cory is actively pursuing a career in the performing arts. In addition to his performance work, he also teaches dance and serves as a competition adjudicator, sharing his expertise and passion for the art form.
